16 Jun Triennial International of Minitextiles in Angers (France)
María Muñoz assists as a guest artist at the inauguration of the XI Triennial International of Minitextiles in Angers (France), which used her piece “Still Alive” as the main image for all the graphic communication of the event.
The spanish artist attended the local press, explaining the difficulty of creating pieces greatly limited in size (not being able to exceed 12 centimeters). This in turn obliges the artist to select what is deemed essentially necessary to compose a small work in size, but vast in poetic expression. A challenge, or a game as she sees it, for her artistic ability.
The exhibition, excellently presented by the heads of the Museums of Angers in the beautiful space of the Jean Lurçat Museum of Contemporary Upholstery, consists of 69 works by different international artists who have had to interpret the topic of this edition: Free as Art in their own, original way.
