31 Jan The Fibery (Fiber Art Gallery) – Paris
Spanish artist María Muñoz participates with three works at the opening of the first Art Gallery in Paris exclusively dedicated to textile art.
Today, February 1st 2019, a new exhibition will open its doors in the Haute Marais district of Paris named THE FIBERY (Fiber Art Gallery). This will be the first Parisian gallery exclusively dedicated to artwork based on textile materials.
The city of Paris, heir to a long tradition of multiple artistic avant-gardes, required a gallery of these characteristics where textile fibers would gain protagonism and guide The Fibery exhibition.
For the event several international artists with a wide trajectory in the world of textile arts have been selected.
The exhibition, organized by Eva Taieb, aims to showcase the immense possibilities of artistic expression related to fiber arts to the Parisian public.
The Spanish textile artist María Muñoz, who has been selected to participate in this inauguration, brings three original works from her series “And me with a hair like this!”, recently exhibited in her gallery-workshop in Jesus Pobre, Alicante (Spain).
